For an inventor, few things in life are more magical than turning an idea for a product into a working prototype. But the process is a grueling one. The time and energy needed to bring new products into the marketplace is laced with problems and challenges few can understand.

Even though the work is challenging, it can also be very rewarding. Few things in life are as gratifying as seeing a product you invented on store shelves.

At the DaVinci Institute, inventors are our heroes. They are the ones willing to fight the good fight and add meaning and purpose to everyone around them.

Virtually every exhibit at the 2011 DaVinci Inventor Showcase represents several man-years of effort to breath life into the ideas being displayed. Altogether, the Showcase is the cumulative effort of several hundred human-years, featuring the work of some of our nation’s finest inventors.
