For its tenth unpredictable year, the North Bay's craziest holiday event explodes once more, live, onstage at the Glaser Center-just in time for the end of the world! Hosted by North Bay journalist and radio personality David Templeton, this annual literary-comedy-variety show features outrageously twisted holiday stories, written by a cadre of local writers, read aloud (that's right, read . . . out loud . . . the old-fashioned way) by a crew of the Bay Area's funniest comedians, actors, musicians and other people. This year's readers include political satirist Will Durst, actor Rick Gomez (Band of Brothers, Sin City, and the iconic announcer on the Bravo station), comic/actress Dian Amos ("The Pine-Sol Lady"), actress Liz Jahren, comedian Geoff Bolt (appearing as Dr. Muti Lederhosen) and Jim Peterson as The Man in Black. Also featuring musician Wayne Haught, and vocalist Steve Jaxon, performing offbeat holiday tunes. The stories include Templeton's infamous 'Crumbs at Midnight,' about a batch of Christmas cookies attempting to survive Santa Claus and his insatiable hunger for milk and cookies; Lauren Heney's 'The Coco of Mrs. Claus,' in which an investigative reporter discovers a few shocking secrets about life at the North Pole; Doug Kenyan's 'Ol' Toothie Saves Christmas,' in which the Tooth Fairy describes the day she saved Santa Claus from an embarrassing Spring Break scandal. Plus offbeat videos, sexy hula hooping, the ceremonial tossing of gifts into the audience, and plenty of other surprises. This event is a fundraiser for charities that feed the hungry and homeless in Sonoma County.
