David Sanborn began his illustrious career as a saxophone player for the Paul Butterfield Blues Band. After five years, he went solo and to date has now recorded 22 albums. His music is heard on albums of many of the industry’s biggest artists like David Bowie, Eric Clapton and Bruce Springsteen. Sanborn has received numerous awards during his professional life including the 1999 award for Best Contemporary Jazz Performance, Instrumental for the album "Inside."
