In David Mamet’s darkly comic and profane 1984 Pulitzer-winner, four corrupt real-estate salesmen struggle to win a cutthroat sales contest. Lies, blackmail, burglary, double-cross and desperation are the reality behind the snappy suits and brittle confidence of these veteran hucksters. The play draws partly on Mamet's experiences in a Chicago real estate office, where he worked briefly in the late 1960s. The title of the play comes from the names of two of the real estate developments being peddled by the salesmen characters, Glengarry Highlands and Glen Ross Farms.
Directed by Robert Kramer, the cast includes Paul Page (Levene), Rick Yaconis (Roma), James O’Hagan Murphy* (Williamson), Verl Hite (Aaronow), Richard Cowden (Moss), Michael Ingram (Lingk) and Ryan Goold (Baylen).
*Cast member James O’Hagan Murphy is a Denver Post Ovation Award nominee for Best Year for an Actor.
