Presentation Overview:
The .NET and Java/J2EE worlds have been competitors for several years. How do things stack up today? And what will the future look like? This session provides an independent perspective on how these two environments compare, along with a look at the increasingly diversified technologies that are now appearing for mainstream software development. The topics addressed include workflow, with a comparison of Windows Workflow Foundation (WF) and purely BPEL-based approaches, and support for service-oriented applications, with a comparison of Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) and Service Component Architecture (SCA).

Speaker Bio
David Chappell is Principal of Chappell & Associates (www.davidchappell.com) in San Francisco, California.
