Dave Miller began playing the piano by ear at the age of three. He studied classical piano and music theory, but gravitated to the Jazz idiom during his college years. Soon after a move from New York to San Francisco, he met percussionist Bill Belasco and the two of them have been musically “inseparable” ever since. 10 years ago, the pair connected with renowned bassist Mario Suraci, and a trio was born. The group has performed throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, as well as in New York. The trio have recorded three CDs including their latest, Rapture, which was released on Summit Records earlier this year. Joining them in this performance is a regular collaborator, vocalist Rebecca Dumaine. Ms. DuMaine will be featured on the group’s new recording, Deed I Do, to be released in early 2012.
