In conversation with a surprise guest...
Having charmed the literary world at the age of 30 with his best-seller, A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, Dave Eggers immediately lent his commercial success to the enlightenment of our youth through literature and education. Infusing his personal passions and writing talents into the broader community, Eggers has taken on numerous philanthropic efforts, including 826 Valencia, an SF-based writing laboratory for young voices, and The Valentino Achak Deng Foundation, dedicated to increasing access to schooling in post-conflict Sudan. INFORUM is pleased to award this Bay Area humanitarian with our 21st Century Visionary Award. Eggers has got a way with words, so you won’t want to miss out on this witty discussion, which is sure to expand your appreciation for the prospects of our youth and the value of the human potential.
