Dave B and the Hot shots February 16, 2012

Dave Birkin began his musical career as a member of the legendary Boston/Washington D.C. group “Powerhouse”, sharing the stage with many blues masters of the time including Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, James Cotton, Matt “Guitar” Murphy, & James Montgomery. Together for almost 2 decades Dave B and the Hot Shots retains three of its original members, Dave Birkin (sax/vocals), Mark Shelford (guitar/vocal) and Ken Steiner (acoustic bass/vocal), performing authentic New Orleans sounds from the late ‘40s through the mid ‘60s. Joining them will be Richard Malcolm(Shirley Lewis Band) on drums, and Jim Heffernan – keys.
