A data centre is a facility used to house computer systems and associated components, such as telecommunications and storage systems. It generally includes redundant or backup power supplies, redundant data communications connections, environmental controls and security devices.

India Data Center Services market to grow at a 23% CAGR over the three years to 2012 to touch Rs. 11,800 crore.
India is all set to emerge as an important data centre hub of the world. With the Government encouraging companies and service providers to use alternative energy sources viz. solar, wind and water the rate of this change will grow.
