American singer-songwriter Darryl Purpose is not one to do something half-heartedly. Whether he’s writing music and performing, walking across the country for peace, or playing blackjack professionally, he gives it all. From 1996 to 2004 Purpose worked the songwriter circuit becoming well known for his narrative songwriting and impressive fingerstyle guitar. He then walked away to make a name for himself in the international gambling world. How he’s back, just releasing his first CD of original material in ten years.
Tom Faulkner knew by age 5 that music would be the fascination of his life. He graduated from Dallas' Highland Park High School, settled in Dallas and put together a band, The Coconuts, achieving rapid regional success. A move to Los Angeles proved that record company promises can be as ethereal as vapor. His unique blend of Texas rock, blues, Cajun and Tejano music is a heartfelt abandonment of musical trends and a passionate embrace of the rich ethnic heritage.
