"Dark Night" Cabaret Series March 10, 2008

Acting Up Stage Theatre Company is proud to once again present its “Dark Night” Cabaret Series. On nights when A Man of No Importance isn’t playing, come and see a first class musical theatre performer and an up and coming talent in an intimate evening of song with host, Sharron Matthews!

After the success of last years Cabaret series during the sold out run of Elegies: A Song Cycle, the “Dark Night” Cabaret series is back and better than ever. The incredible line-up curated and hosted by Sharron Matthews, a seasoned Cabaret performer, whose cabaret shows have been called “one of the hottest tickets in town” by the National Post, selected as the critics' pick 9 times by the Now Magazine and selected the ‘Thing to do’ on a Monday night in Toronto by the Globe and Mail and the National Post during it’s two year run at the Gladstone Ballroom.

This time around, the “Dark Night” Cabaret Series will feature Sharron Matthews followed by a young, up and coming theatre talent and then the featured artist. The line-up includes Dan Chameroy (Stratford Festival), Thom Allison (Rent, National Tour, and The Who’s Tommy) and Susan Gilmour (Les Miserables, Evita) as well as up and comers Allie Hughes (Solo Artist at The Gladstone and Cameron House), Laura Caswell (Bat Boy: The Musical) Sara Farb (Jane Eyre) and Ari Weinberg (Sudbury Theatre Co, TIFT).
