Fun! Meet new friends! Dance! Try something new! Preserve a traditional art form!
Foggy City Dancers, one of San Francisco's LGBTQ square dancing clubs, is hosting Dare to be Square, a chance for new dancers and old to try square dancing. For the first hour, we'll teach you some basic square dance moves, even if you've never square danced before. Afterwards, we'll stick around for another hour of club-level dancing for club members and non-members alike. New dancers are invited to hang out!
Dare to be Square is held in the cafeteria of Sanchez School in the Castro. Head up the long ramp and go forward through the doors to the cafeteria.
Every Thursday from March 18th to May 6th, from 7:30pm - 9:30pm
Introductory dancing from 7:30pm - 8:30pm, club-level dancing from 8:30pm - 9:30pm
@ Sanchez School, 325 Sanchez Street (@ 16th Street), San Francisco
We are requesting a $5 donation that goes to Foggy City Dancers, a 501(c)(3) non-profit arts organization. For more information, contact: board (at) foggycity (dot) org.
(While Foggy City is an LGBTQ organization, straight dancers are welcome, too!)
