Dar Williams has become a major force on the New England folk scene. An idiosyncratic songwriter who writes folk songs from a unique, often insightful perspective, her songwriting and performing style have been compared to Joni Mitchell and Joan Baez.
The new album from Dar Williams, "My Better Self," released September 13th, is both political and personal. It combines songs of love and hate with tales that illustrate some of the many social and environmental issues that Dar holds dear to her heart. Recorded in Woodstock, NY, "My Better Self" features several guests, including Soulive, Ani DiFranco, Marshall Crenshaw and Patty Larkin.
Opening act: Girlyman
