The Conservative Synagogue of the Hamptons welcomes Artist-in-Residence Danny Maseng for Shabbat weekend, Friday, July 7 through Saturday, July 8. The multi-talented Israeli-born singer, songwriter and storyteller will share his soulful melodies, stories and teachings at Shabbat dinner following services on Friday evening at the Sag Harbor Inn, beginning at 6:30 pm. All are welcome. Call synagogue to make reservations for Fri. night dinner
On Saturday, July 8, Maseng will participate in Havdalah services followed by a “Kumsitz,” an informal sing-along, beginning at 8 pm. According to Rabbi Jan Uhrbach, Maseng is one of the most inspiring performers of his generation. “A performer, an educator, and a composer with a reverence for tradition and a gift for original melodies, he rekindles the spirit of Shabbat through Torah study, artfully told stories, and exquisite music. His voice is a window to the soul.”
