Danen Jobe Reads & Signs Jandek Fictional Bio December 10, 2006

Arkansas author, Danen Jobe, will be reading from and signing copies of his new book,
"Niagra Blues: Slingerland,” published by Glasgow’s Single Cell Press. The short novel is a fictional history of the outsider blues musician Jandek. Written with the consent and cooperation of Corwood Industries, the sole publisher of Jandek’s catalog since 1978, it's also a story of the people who came from rural Arkansas, and the folk and blues music that formed a soundtrack to their lives. Jobe’s reading will follow Jandek’s appearance in Indianapolis on Saturday December 9th at the Harrison Center for the Arts. It also follows a reading at Luna Music in Indianapolis (5202 N College) that Saturday at 1 pm.
Jobe will be writing new material specifically for each reading that will later be integrated into the second part of the Jandek project.
