Histoire d’ amour
DanceWorks, Toronto's longest-running contemporary dance series, and BouchardDanse presents the world premiere of Histoire d’amour May 3-5, 2012 at Harbourfront Centre’s Enwave Theatre.
Inspired by the undying quest for love, Histoire d’amour follows three timeless lovers through the history of love from Ancient Greece to the Romantic Era, creating a poignant and comedic narrative on love.
Performed by Brendan Wyatt, Sylvie Bouchard and Christian Laurin, Histoire d'amour is directed by multi-faceted artist Marie-Josée Chartier, with choreography by Susie Burpee Louis-Martin Charest, Denise Fujiwara and Sylvie Bouchard with Louis Laberge-Côté.
Using a variety of choreographic voices, styles, and visions Histoire d'amour explores true love, platonic love, unattainable love, obsessive love, being in love with love and more.
