DanceWorks is pleased to present the first show in the 2009-2010 Mainstage Season: Namesake: three, an evening of cutting-edge world premieres from firstthingsfirst productions, running September 23-25 as part of Harbourfront Centre’s NextSteps Series at the Enwave Theatre. Co-artistic directors Kate Franklin and Kate Holden, and mentor Kate Alton take to the stage in this follow-up to their sold-out and critically acclaimed debut (named one of NOW Magazine’s Top Ten Dance Shows of the Year) of Namesake in January of 2007. This time, it’s all about the number three: the three talented Toronto-based Kates perform three dynamic world premieres by three renowned Canadian choreographers from three different cities – Kate Alton (Toronto), Marc Boivin (Montreal) and Emily Molnar (Vancouver).
