Market Street Gallery is pleased to present Dancer, an exhibition showcasing works by Mark Lightfoot, a collection of large-scale pieces that beautifully illustrates his evolution from 2 dimensional works to 3 dimensional marvels. The exhibit will open December 5, 2011, and run through December 30, 2011. The artist reception will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2011, from 6 PM - 8 PM.

Mark Lightfoot's work is about his life-long passion for and connection to nature... to convey the sense of mystery he finds hidden in nature. He uses its colors, shapes, textures and shadows as elements in his paintings.

Although seemingly chaotic, nature has its own structure. Mark Lightfoot's response to nature's movement and energy as well as its structure is what connects and grounds him.

In the process of creating these artworks he recaptures his original response to all that his world has to offer visually as well as emotionally. It is this wonder and beauty he wants the viewer to see.
