DancenOw/NYC: the Festival September 4, 2008

DancenOw/NYC returns to Dance Theater Workshop this fall to present the 12th annual season of The Festival. A leader and model for the !festival/short takes' format, The Festival kicks off the NYC dance season, celebrating the endless creativity of NYC area choreographers - from aspiring young artists, to mid-career innovators, to the poetic and powerful performers whose chronological age puts them over 40. The four-day festival features 60-plus dancemakers & companies in three performance series: 40Up, Base Camp and Upclose. Each event includes 10-12 works of seven minutes or less - !bite-size' choreographic gems.
