Dance Like Me - Melissa Levine's Solo Show July 26, 2006

From the website:the one-woman showFor a little while now, I?ve been working on a one-woman show. As I like to assure those unfamiliar with the medium, my one-woman show is a full-length play about me, written by me, and performed by me.The show, currently titled Dance Like Me, takes place when I was fourteen. At the time, I studied tap and jazz dance at a local studio, where I spent many of my afternoons. I was also a big girl; I?m sure you can do the math there. (Hint: conflict.)Meanwhile, I worked at a pet store, where I fell for a slightly older, dangerous boy. We became friends, and maybe something else, something I could never manage to name. He?s in the show, as is my Argentine dance teacher, as is my mother.I do all the parts.WORKSHOP PERFORMANCE: July 26, 2006I'll be performing the entire show in front of an audience!Where: The Marsh Theatre, 1062 Valencia Street in San FranciscoTime: 8:00 P.M.Cost: $8 - $12 sliding scaleDetails: The show runs about an hour and forty-five minutes, including the 15-minute intermission.
