In honor of National Dance Week, which is April 20-29th, the Mount Baker Ballet opens it's 32nd anniversary season with their annual repertoire performance, "Dance Into Spring", Sunday, April 22nd at the Bellingham High School Auditorium. The 7 pm performance is under the direction of Nancy Whyte. Russ Nelson is technical director and light designer for the production.
The performance will feature works all newly choreographed by Nancy Whyte: Summer Night to the music of Samuel Barber, a series of dances set to Klezmer and Armenian music called Time and Place, a jazz piece which debuted in Kansas City, summer 2006, titled Jazz de Paris, Tango to the music of Astor Piazzolla, and a yet untitled piece to a Beethoven String Quartet.
