Richmond, Virginia – Local choreographer Rebecca A. Ferrell will present Impressive Mastermind on February 8 and 9 at 8:00 pm at Dogtown Dance Theatre, 109 West 15th Street, Richmond, Virginia. Tickets are $10. This performance is intended for a mature audience. A valid ID is required for admittance.
Impressive Mastermind, examines notions of privacy and the law, particularly in light of Homeland Security's USA Patriot Act implemented following the events of 9/11.
Through the vehicle of a theatrical dance performance, Impressive Mastermind investigates these privacy issues on a public and personal level and also asks the audience to question their own views on government policies regarding personal privacy and illegal search and seizure. Moving away from the usual spectacle of traditional theater, this multi-dimensional piece explores an experiential examination of how the public relates to what is real and what is considered performative.
In addition to Impressive Mastermind, Ferrell will be presenting three other works, including Copy and Paste, the haunting solo that was most recently performed at InLight Richmond.
Tickets for this event are cash only and can be purchased at the door. To reserve tickets in advance please email requests to fdancetix@gmail.com.
