Dance-floor funk at Berklee's free noon concert series at Kendall Square July 2, 2009

Berklee College of Music's fifth Kendall Square Concert Series takes place every Thursday throughout the summer—and it's free for lunchtime music lovers. July 2 brings Gentleman Hall, which mixes funk, pop, soul, r&b, rock, and electronica to create undeniable dance-floor funk.

Concerts takes place in the outdoor plaza at 300 Athenaeum Street, Kendall Square, Cambridge, on Thursdays, noon to 1:30 p.m., through September 10. Concerts will be postponed in inclement weather. The series is sponsored by the BioMed Realty Trust, Inc.
