Join Benita Bike’s DanceArt in Los Angeles’ Verdugo Hills for an outdoor performance on April 1st and discover how dances are made and how dance artists train, work, and create. Dances will be performed, and there will be numerous opportunities for audience members to interact with artists.
Benita Bike’s DanceArt is known for its elegant performance and its dramatic use of space and gesture to make sensitive observations on life. Benita Bike’s choreography stands at the crossroads of past and present, blending the music and sensibilities of the past with evocative contemporary movement. For 31 seasons this company has performed near and far – from the California coast to New England and abroad – bringing both concert dance and unique interactive outreach performances to audiences large and small.
This program will feature three dances, the brand new “Currents and Eddies” and recent dance works “Southern Memories” and “Aliens.”
