Benita Bike’s DanceArt continues its 30th Anniversary Season with an outdoor performance at the historic McGroarty Arts Center on Sunday, April 3, 3:00 pm. The McGroarty Arts Center is located at 7570 McGroarty Terrace in Tujunga. This performance is funded in part by grants from the Department of Cultural Affairs, City of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles County Arts Commission, and the McGroarty Arts Center. This is a FREE event!
For at least a decade, Benita Bike’s DanceArt has presented interactive dance performances in the living room of the charming McGroarty Arts Center. In honor of its 30th Anniversary, DanceArt will present its unique dance program – a combination of contemporary dance performance and audience interaction – outdoors in front of the Center’s historic McGroarty House. Bring friends and family to see various dances performed and feel free to ask the questions you’ve always wondered about: How do you make a dance? How do the dancers learn to move that way?
Dances by Benita Bike's DanceArt are known for their musicality, architectural use of space, and elegant performance. This program will feature three dances, two from DanceArt’s repertory and excerpts from DanceArt’s newest dance creation “Southern Memories” set to music of the South.
