The Village Writers Group meets at Wordsmiths Books on the first Tuesday of every month for a special speaking event. This month's guest speaker is Dana Barrett.
Dana left the corporate world afer 20 years in technology to follow her passion for books. Her new life had her interviewing such authors as New York Times bestsellers Jane Green, Terry Brooks, and Eric Jerome Dickey, as well as local
authors such as Joshilyn Jackson, Karen White, and David Fulmer. In addition, she has been published, owns her own bookstore, and runs four book clubs. Today, she can provide some insight on what it takes for an aspiring author to get their
work on the shelves. Following her passion means: "I am working harder than I have ever worked in my life for less money!" says Dana, but she loves what she does, and looks forward to speaking to a group of people who are already following
their passion for writing.
Join the Village Writers Group at Wordsmiths Books for this special evening with Dana Barrett. Future events at Wordsmiths include Jame A. Riley, the publisher for Unnameable Press, on March 4, and Neil Shulman, the screenwriter who wrote
Doc Hollywood, on April 1.
