On Thursday, Jan. 28, at 10 a.m., Miami Dade College will present Dan Le Batard as part of its acclaimed Journalism Speaker Series. The event will be held at the college’s North Campus, Room 2151.
Le Batard is known for his quirky sense of humor as well as ability to tackle controversial topics. His poignant profiles on athletes go beyond the sports pages. One such story was on former NFL running back Warrick Dunn while he was attending Florida State University. The story detailed how Dunn — just days after turning 18 — became head of the family and guardian of his siblings after his mother, an off-duty police officer, was brutally murdered.
