ABOUT SOME OF THE DAMSELS
ERIKKA INNES resides at the intersection where highbrow meets lowbrow, art meets trash, academic meets illiterate, and pretentiousness gets a wedgie. Her drinking buddies at the corner bar are Albert Camus, Mary Shelley, Chewbacca, Tom Stoppard, and Tank Girl. Erikka's high energy performances are a guided tour through a wonderland where D&D is the national pastime and William Shatner's rendition of Rocket Man is the national anthem. It's a pretty cool place to live. You should visit sometime.
In a few short years, Erikka has managed to go on tour twice, once to Reno, Nevada with Women Who Kick Comedy Butt and more recently she appeared in the national 5 Funny Females tour. She created her own comedy show, the super popular 'Geek Comedy Night' which she regularly hosts, promotes and performs in at various locations around the bay area. In her free time, she has worked as a contributing writer for such television shows as "Fondle the Fear" and worked as a film scout for Viacom Productions. When she's not writing or performing she's probably busy dreaming about being a starship captain
A California native, GRETCHEN ROOTES is a popular performer at clubs and colleges all over the country. Audiences are attracted to her warm, natural style and to her material that ranges from observations about everyday life to family, relationships, and the struggles of simply trying to keep it together without completely losing it. The San Francisco Chronicle describes her as “effortlessly casting a ‘best friend spell’ that makes you want to hang out with her after her set”. Her sarcastic wit and unique perspective have earned her a place as a two-time finalist inn “Laugh Riots”, Comedy Central’s national stand up comedy competition as well as the San Francisco and Las Vegas Comedy Festivals. She also bears the dubious distinction of touring as an opening act with the infamous “Puppetry of the Penis” show. Her years of community service have provided fertile ground for her fast rising comedy career. Spend an evening listening to Gretchen and you will know that she’s “been there”, and that she feels your pain….oh yeah, and she might also be partially responsible for it.
SAMANTHA CHANSE was recently attacked by a gang of dead babies on the streets of her native New York City. Accustomed to avoiding social situations and the freakish weather patterns of the San Francisco Bay Area, she enjoys hiding in dark corners and working on her cyberdominion www.whiskeyandacigarette.org. If that's too hard to remember or you're questioning her right to a dot org domain name, www.samanthachanse.com works too.
