Who: Dalton Publishing's AIPF featured poets: Lyman Grant, W. Joe Hoppe, and Ric Williams; publisher Deltina Hay; and several other featured poets including Larry D. Thomas & Jill Alexander Essbaum.
What: Hosted by Houston poet, professor and lawyer (yes, lawyer) Ken Jones, the event will begin with a fast-paced poetry reading, followed by a panel discussion with the authors and publisher of Dalton Publishing. With refreshments and entertainment before the event.
Each of Dalton's featured poets have been on the Austin literary scene for years. Ric Williams (the secret book of god, 2005) has been the “Litera” editor for the Austin Chronicle for nearly 20 years; Lyman Grant (The Road Home, 2006) is the Dean of Arts and Humanities at ACC; and Michener Fellow W. Joe Hoppe (Galvanized, 2006) also teaches at ACC.
Also featured are the Texas poet, Larry D. Thomas, Zürich poet Jill Alexander Essbaum, Michener Fellow D. Antwan Stewart, the lovely and talented Shia Shabazz, and Austin poet Susan Stockton.
