Da Camera of Houston’s long-standing A Little Day Music series of free lunchtime concerts continues in the Grand Foyer of the Wortham Theater Center, Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at noon. This month’s free program, the final event for the 2009/2010 season, features an exciting program of chamber music performed by talented young musicians from the Da Camera Young Artist Program. Come hear a colorful collection of chamber music masterpieces illuminated by lively commentary. A Little Day Music is sponsored by Waste Management. The media sponsor is KUHF 88.7 FM.
This program features performances by the inaugural class of the Da Camera Young Artist Program. Each Young Artist works with Da Camera throughout the year, conceiving adventurous community concerts and educational programs. Da Camera Young Artists hold degrees from our nation’s top music conservatories, including the Juilliard School, the Eastman School of Music, the University of Houston’s Moores School of Music and Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music. Da Camera selected them through competitive audition, and is excited to now offer their debut performance on A Little Day Music.
