Classically trained on upright bass, and in choir from the age of 10 years old D. Anson performs using a wide variety of instruments. He is focused on his songwriting and believes that technique is a means to an end, and not an end in itself.

His passionate and emotive performances are often noted as his main draw. "People like flashy technique, but ultimately they want to connect. Music is a language, it's communication, not just a magic show, not just a monkey doing tricks."

Currently D. Anson is touring and playing as much as he can and plans on a full length album release in 2010.
