'Cyrano de Bergerac ' is about Cyrano - swordsman, poet, musician and philosopher. He loves his cousin Roxanne, but his larger-than-life nose prevents him from telling her. When she begins to fall in love with the young guardsman Christian, Cyrano puts all his talents into helping Christian woo Roxanne. Charming, proud and romantic, Cyrano is one of the theatre's most memorable characters. Beneath the play's carefree bravado is a quiet undertone of sacrifice and longing.
