There's a reason Cyrano De Bergerac is one of the most produced plays of all time. Edmond Rostand's classic has it all - drama, comedy, adventure and an old fashioned love story. Cyrano is a war hero, a poet, a philosopher and a master swordsmad. He only lacks the affection of Roxane, the woman of his dreams, but his shame over his large nose prevents him from wooing her. In a misguided burst of passion, he gives the handsome (but inarticulate) Christian the words he would use to win her heart, and Christian takes them as his own. With his hopes crushed, Cyrano is all but ready to accept his misery. But in the outdoor theatre, the stars align for a magically romantic ending that reaffirms fate.
