Sit back and enjoy the finer things in life with wine, artisan chocolates, and music in an intimate setting. The Cypress String Quartet celebrates its 15th Anniversary this year with Salon Series concerts in the Bay Area, allowing a small audience to experience chamber music up close and personal.
The Cypress' Salon Series concerts in February feature music by the iconic Impressionistic composer Maurice Ravel and the Czech musician with a cult-like following Erwin Schulhoff, plus Impressions by Pulitzer Prize-winner Jennifer Higdon -- a piece written specifically for the Cypress Quartet. Music will be followed by a casual conversation led by Cal Performances Director Matias Tarnopolsky (February 3, Pearson Theatre at Meyer Sound in Berkeley), or musicologist Kai Christiansen (February 4, 12 Gallagher Lane in the SoMa district, San Francisco).
Join the Cypress String Quartet for this unique chamber music experience, while tantalizing your taste buds with chocolate from Poco Dolce and kicking back with a glass of wine from Chatom Vineyards.
