The aviary at the RiverQuarium, a 35-foot-high enclosure, houses passerine and wading birds indigenous to the Flint River basin. Since the Albany area is in a major flyway, several migratory birds are also featured in the aviary. Its first residents are commercially available birds, such as Northern Bobwhite quail, and numerous ducks, including Mallards and Hooded Mergansers.
