East Hampshire Cycling for All is a new project set up in partnership between the Forestry Commission, East Hampshire District Council and CTC - the national cyclists' organisation.
A range of specialist cycles will make cycling a fun, healthy option for people who might find regular bikes unsuitable. Tricycles help with balance and confidence, tandems make cycling very sociable and hand-powered trikes enable cycling with no leg-power whatsoever. These cycles will also be suitable for people returing to health who are not quite up to riding a standard bike but want to start getting active. Bicycle hire from Forestry Adventure will cater for those in the party who don't need an adapted cycle. The beautiful traffic-free environment of Alice Holt Forest is a great place for beginners to get into cycling.
For more information, or to book a ride, take a look at the project website or contact CTC's Cycling Champions Officer, Clive Andrews, on 07717 721511 or clive.andrews@ctc.org.uk.
