Guest Speaker: Rafal Rohozinski
Rafal Rohozinski is CEO of The SecDev Group and of Psiphon, as well as founder and principal investigator of the Information Warfare Monitor and the Open Net Initiative. He is the senior research advisor to the Citizen Lab, and a Senior Fellow at the Canada Centre for Global Security Studies at the Munk School of Global Affairs, University of Toronto.
Mr. Rohozinski has 18 years of field‐based experience working in an operational and advisory capacity in 37 countries, including conflict zones in the CIS, the Middle East, and Africa. In 2005‐2006, he served as an embedded Chief Technical Advisor to he Palestinian Authority. He has also authored numerous academic and policy papers, including the co‐authored reports, Tracking GhostNet and Shadows in the Cloud. In his briefing Mr. Rafal Rohozinski will give a broad overview of cyberspace challenges, including: national security, the industrialization of cyber crime, and problems of governance.
