CWC Walk On The Wild Side May 3, 2009

CWC Walk on the Wild Side® is a great way for animal lovers of all ages to help our local wildlife while also having fun by enjoying some spirited competition and physical fitness.

Our event begins with pre-registration check-in and t-shirt pick-up; a trainer-led warm up to music by our wild DJ; snacks and refreshments; wildlife education booths and an actual wildlife release on the beach. Sorry, no pets are allowed.

There will be celebrities and local dignitaries to see Walkers off at the start line of the 5K (approximate three-mile) beach walk. Participants who cross the finish line receive a certificate of completion; prizes will be awarded to the three top fundraisers.

The funds raised for Walk on the Wild Side® will go directly to funding the free services and programs California Wildlife Center provides, including paramedic rescue and rehabilitation for more than 2,000 animals each year; and co-existing with wildlife education to many communities.
