On February 10, 2006, Acting in the Community Together, Carleton College?s community service center, will be sponsoring Cuts for Cancer, an event in which Carleton students, faculty, and staff, and Northfield community members will raise money for cancer. People can choose one (or more) of the following options: donating ten inches of their hair to Locks of Love (a group which makes wigs for children), making a financial donation to an organization dedicated to cancer research, shaving their head in support, or getting a haircut and donating the money that would normally go to the haircut to the cancer research organization. The event will take place from 9am-3pm in Great Hall.
