The World Beat center wants to welcome you to join them and celebrate the 10th year anniversary celebrating 10 years of wonderful reggae from Puerto Rico. Making there debut release album Canción de Alerta Cultura Profetica guest stars in the celebration. With there mixture of reggae, Latin rock, bossa nova, salsa, and ska Cultura Profetica have become a well-known band around the world. Come join the World Beat Center in celebrating them in Tijuana Mexico with special guests, B-Side Player and DJ Carlos Culture as well as Cultura Profetica.

Cultura Profetica

Cultura Profetica made their debut in 1996 to later have a cd debut in 1998 and produced by Eroll Brown in Kingston Jamaica. The band returned to Kingston Jamaica in 1999 to make there second cd Ideas Nuevas. In May 2000 Cultura Profetica played live at the Tito Puente’s Amphitheatres. The concert was later a video Cultura en Vivo. Cultura Profetica has toured around the world in various places such as Puerto Rico Central America as well as the United States. In their music they display Social and ecological themes. They also display themes of freedom liberty enjoyment of life and taking it easy. They will be remembered for their inspiration lyrics and in depth outlook on music.

B-Side Players is a septet who’s led singer is Karlos Paez and includes Giovanni Mejia on the guitar, Gerry Guevara who is the bass player, saxophonist Regan Branch, percussionists Victor Tapia and Luis Cuenca, and drummer Ryan Moran. They formed there band in San Diego in 1993 later on winning 7 San Diego Music Awards for their unique musical blend of Latin, funk, rock, and reggae. Some of their music includes their songs such as “Souldier”, “Puro Feeling” and many more which can all be found on their cd “Movement”.
