Join us for a fabulous four day culinary exploration of New Orleans! Louisiana is a melting pot of diverse cultures including French, Spanish, Italian, African, American Indian and Caribbean. New Orleans' location has allowed these various cultures to harmoniously blend together, utilizing the foods of South Louisiana, to create a "Creole Cuisine." We’ll take a walking tour of the Historical Culinary French Quarter, participate in a cooking class and dine at a 17th century plantation house, enjoy a Muffuletta at the famous Napoleon House, and dine at the landmark Acme Oyster House.. We’ll explore the untouched wilderness, pristine beauty and unrivaled charm of the Honey Island Swamps, and participate in a Cajun Crayfish Boil!
Renown August Chef John Besh will prepare a five course Nouvelle Cuisine Tasing Menu for us, each course paired with the perfect wine. We’ll trolley around the city, tour a local farmer’s market, catch dinner and the show at the Palm Court Jazz Café in the French Quarter, and savor a Jazz Brunch at Mister B’s Bistro. And much, much, more.
We’re very excited about this visit to one of our favorite cities. It will be a remarkable and unique culinary experience. Full itinerary with photos is on the website. Price is $1260.
Note: This event has been canceled. Please have a look at our Culinary Tour of Sicily in October.
