The University of Salford's CUBE gallery is delighted to be announcing its annual CUBEOpen 2011.
CUBEOpen 2011 is the UK’s only annual open competition and exhibition of its kind! Artists, architects and designers are invited to apply with work that reflects current trends, debates and themes surrounding the spaces and places in which we live.
The most outstanding project will be offered the fantastic opportunity of a residency as part of CUBELab 2012. We are also pleased to announce, through a new collaboration with Beam, the opportunity for a summer residency in 2012 at Beam’s unique headquarters, The Orangery in Wakefield. Two runners up will be given honourable mentions.
An esteemed panel of judges will select the applications anonymously. Selectors this year include Robert Powell - Creative Director Beam Wakefield, Robert Paul Herrmann - Director Red Eye Photography Network, Jane Anderson - Creative Director CUBE, Stephen Whittle - Collections Curator The University of Salford.
