The largest folk festival in the state, the Connecticut Folk Festival & Green Expo combines world-class acoustic and contemporary folk musicians with a two-day environmental expo, a cycling event, free children's theatre, and free activities for families to entertain and inspire.

Events take place from Sept. 11 to Sept. 13 on the campus of Southern CT State University (New Haven), in Edgerton Park (New Haven), and at the City Seed Farmer's Market in Westville (New Haven).

Highlights include:

Friday, Sept. 11: Free children’s theatre at Lyman Center, a "green" job fair and academic symposium at SCSU, and a concert at night with Pamela Means, Chris Pureka, Lyndell Montgomery, and Avi & Celia.

Saturday, Sept. 12: Tour des Farms bike ride, Green Expo in Edgerton Park with tons of exhibitors, vendors, and workshops, then a concert under the stars by Amos Lee, Caravan of Thieves, Martyn Joseph and more at night in Edgerton Park.

Sunday, Sept. 13: Dava Hoot in Edgewood Park, a relaxed sing-along social event, at the Westville Farmer’s Market.
