March can be a challenging month for outdoor photography. The landscape can be pretty drab since it's usually too warm for ice (let's hope we just saw the last snowfall!) but too cold for the new life of spring. But I think we're all ready to spend some time outside!
Let's meet at the Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport. This is a small zoo (don't expect giraffes or elephants!). But there are still some great opportunities for animal photos and there is a greenhouse for some plant shots.
Date: Saturday, March 15
Time: 10:00am
Admission: $9.00 (15% discount for AAA members)
Directions to the Zoo
Meeting Spot: Purchase your ticket and walk into the zoo. Just past the entrance there are restrooms with a few benches outside. It will be to your right. We will meet by those benches.
We can grab lunch at the zoo's Peacock Cafe. Though it's a small zoo, I don't think we'll be ready to leave by lunch time.
When we do leave, we can drive through Beardsley Park and see if there's anything worth shooting there. There are some other possibilities in the area which I will check out.
