CT Flickr Meetup - August Shoot August 11, 2007

Just a bunch of Connecticut Flickrites getting together for monthly photo shoots. Our first meeting was very successful and the group has a great momentum already. Let's keep it up!

FIRST SHOOT: Milford Point

Fee: None
What it has to offer: Salt marsh, beach, lots of birds (osprey nest, plovers, egrets, seagulls, etc), some flowers around the building, sometimes several butterflies (if they're in the mood). Not a lot of people, which is unusual for a CT beach in the summer!

LUNCH BREAK: Depending on timing and everyone's preferences, there are plenty of places to pick up lunch and take it to the park, or we could stop at a diner on the Post Road in Milford.

SECOND SHOOT: Boothe Memorial Park
5774 Main St. Putney - Stratford, CT
Time: 1:00pm
Fee: None
What it has to offer: Historical buildings, small museum collections, gardens (the rose garden has faded, but there are other gardens around), monk parakeets, other birds, squirrels, chipmunks, and too many random things to name.
