Artrageous on Clark Street in Lincoln Park (CSLP) is a multi-dimensional event scheduled to transform the neighborhood into a bustling hub of pop-up art exhibits, cooking demonstrations, live music, and special attractions.
This FREE event showcases talented local artists, restaurants and the many extraordinary businesses on Clark Street in Lincoln Park. On Saturday, May 5, 2012, Chicago-area food, art and music enthusiasts are invited to join in on this full-day celebration of Spring, art, music, and food.
There will be plenty to see and experience throughout the day, but we’ve included a special element where guests of all ages will have the opportunity to actively contribute to the festivities! Lincoln Park residents and visitors are encouraged to join us in a unique Community Art Project by helping to produce an inspiring mosaic that will go on display once completed.
The project will be held at 2320 N. Clark Street, where staff from the Chicago Mosaic School will assist attendees with setting and arranging tiles in the design. Unlike several of our Artrageous street artists who welcome passersby to view their works in progress, this piece is a chance for a fun hands-on experience at the event!
Artrageous Community Art Project takes place on Saturday, May 5, 2012 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Go to VisitClarkStreet.com for more information.
The Artrageous Community Art Project is located at 2320 N. Clark. Other activities throughout May 5 will take place on Clark Street between Armitage and Diversey and on Diversey Parkway between Orchard and Lakeview.
