The Crossroads Youth Choir of Adventure of Faith Presbyterian Church of Port Orchard, Washington will perform an inspiring concert at the First Presbyterian Church of San Jose.
The choir is composed of approximately 50 students in grades 7-12 who enhance worship through song. They sing throughout the year at their home church, Adventure of Faith, in Port Orchard, WA. Between 30 and 40 singers tour each summer. They travel to share their enthusiasm for Christ through God’s gift of music.
The Crossroads Youth Choir has performed throughout the continental United States, as well as Alaska, Hawaii, and western Canada. This year, the choir is traveling from Seattle to Los Angeles and back again in order to perform several concerts along the West Coast.
At a Crossroads concert, you are likely to hear a mix of music ranging from Vivaldi to the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. Add a dose of drama through mime and two or three “specials” for an enjoyable and inspirational evening.
Crossroads traces its beginnings to the establishment of a children’s choir 18 years ago. As the children became teens, their enthusiasm for music led to creation of a youth choir which has become a signature ministry of Adventure of Faith.
Senior Pastor John Foreman of the Adventure of Faith Presbyterian Church, is the director of Crossroads Youth Choir. Pastor Foreman began a professional music career as a singer with the San Francisco Opera, and later became a percussionist, playing with the San Francisco Symphony, Ballet, and Opera orchestras. He has been blessed to be able to use his musical gifts in various ways in the churches he has served. This year marks his 20th year at Adventure of Faith.
