Crossroads CLE Opening Statement Slam: Lawyers Vs Poets November 21, 2008

In an interesting twist, this poetry slam, hosted by attorneys Kurt Lewis Esq. and Greg Cairns Esq. will feature readings and performances by participants alongside some of the best performance poets in the country on the Cafe Nuba and Mercury Cafe Slam poetry teams. The poets will share performance and writing techniques with lawyers followed by a slam competition one on one lawyer versus poet in a three minute opening statement judged by the audience. Only the first ten registrants are guaranteed to compete. Class is limited to 100 persons. Proceeds go to Crossroads Theater and to support the Cafe Nuba and Mercury Cafe Slam Teams in their competitions throughout the country.
