Crossover Concerto --- where classical meets jazz--- caps its 2009 eight-city U.S. tour in Chicago Sunday, March 1 at 8 p.m. at Symphony Center, 220 S. Michigan Ave. Chicago. This amazing music event features 2008 Grammy Award-winner and world-renowned violist Yuri Bashmet, jazz saxophone virtuoso Igor Butman and Igor Butman’s Big Band, leading Neo-Romantic composer and pianist Igor Raykhelson and Moscow Soloists Chamber Orchestra performing pieces from the classical repertoire of the Moscow Soloists Chamber Orchestra and jazz arrangements of Russian classics by Tchaikovsky and Rimsky-Korsakov and the critically acclaimed "Jazz Suite for Viola, Saxophone, Piano and Orchestra" by composer Raykhelson.
