As the new cricket season gets into its stride, an exhibition takes guard at the Rural Life Centre, Tilford, looking at the game at all levels in Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire, and further afield.
Crossing the Boundary opens on Sunday, May 16, and includes posters, books, scorecards, fixture lists, photographs and other memorabilia reflecting the game's importance on the international, national, county and local stage.
Among the many items on display will be a copy of the Radio Times marking John Arlott's final Test Match commentary before retiring to the Channel Islands, a signed copy of Sir Jack Hobbs' autobiography, the scorecard from the 1972 Lord's Test when Australian debutant Bob Massie had match figures of 16-137.
Crossing the Boundary also incorporates an exhibition marking the 125th anniversary of Tilford Cricket Club and both exhibitions continue until Sunday, August 1.
The Rural Life Centre is between Tilford and Frensham in Reeds Road off the A287, three miles south of Farnham. Tel: 01252 795571 (www.rural-life.org.uk).
